EMMA
STRATTON MOUNTAIN RESORT | VERMONT MOUNTAIN TOP BAT MITZVAH
I knew from the moment I spoke with Emma’s Mom on the phone that this was going to be one very special day. Emma’s family has always been a Stratton family growing up, her parents even first met at the resort years ago. But when the pandemic hit last year they officially moved their home to Vermont from NYC.
Not only were her family and friends coming together to celebrate Emma’s Bat Mitzvah, a huge milestone in her life, but she has also achieved an even bigger accomplishment, 10 years cancer free. Her Mitzvah Project included her time helping at a crafts & toy drive for kids just like her at the hospital she was treated at.
“I was in treatment at the hospital day after day. But, I could always count on lots of crafts and playing with toys to put a smile on my face. My goal is to put a smile on a kids face at the hospital, to let them know they are loved, and even though they might be in a really tough situation dealing with cancer, they can always find some fun with crafts and toys in bed!”
Emma, it was truly an honor being a part of your Bat Mitzvah and a privilege to be the one capturing it. I wish you and your family nothing but the best for the future. Mazel Tov!
