“And even after Alex moved for her first teaching position, THAT guy Adam kept showing up” Kelsey, Alex’s college roommate and best friend said as Alex and Adam looked at each other as if they were the only ones in the room. We were all in awe.

Adam and Alex have always and will always show up for one another. No matter what. From Adam meeting Alex’s family with two black eyes, to buying and creating a beautiful home together to everything in between. One thing is immensely clear, nothing will stop these two from giving each other a life full of love and happiness.

That bond. That admiration and that respect was evident in every moment, every stolen kiss and every smile. From the first look, to the heartwarming five promises they shared in front of all their closest families and friends, all the way to Adam’s unbelievable performance on the drums to open up the dance floor, there was nothing but endless love and contagious joy.

From the moment I met Alex, I could tell that she was one of the kindest, sweetest, most thoughtful people I have ever had the privilege of knowing. Adam was just as kind, just as sweet and just as thoughtful. They both have that thing that just draws people to them, no wonder their wedding party was one of the biggest ones I have ever photographed!

With Alex being Kelsey’s best friend, I knew I had big shoes to fill. I knew that this wedding was special. This couple was special. All they wanted was to celebrate their wedding day with the people they love the most. They finally had their wedding dreams come true. They finally had everyone under one roof and no two people ever looked so happy.

Individually, Alex looked like a vision in her bridal gown and Adam looked like he just walked out of GQ magazine, but together they were the perfect fit in every way. If it was up to me, I would have kept them out capturing couple portraits for hours and hours in the gorgeous Vermont vineyard but I knew that being with their friends and family was the most important thing to them. I knew that they wanted to live in the moments they would cherish forever.

It was more than just a wedding between two people, it was an electric celebration for everyone involved. The dance floor was going all night long! As I was dancing around the dance floor myself, I couldn’t help but think, “WOW!” I was truly blown away by everyone there. I felt like I wasn’t just their photographer, but a part of the family. Honestly, I couldn’t have been more honored to not only capture Alex and Adam’s wedding day, but also witness it.

Alex and Adam, I wish you nothing but a life full of laughter, happiness, dancing, drum sessions and promises that make you laugh, cry and smile all at once. Cheers to you!
